Publication standards
No invented local expertise
A location page may summarize a cited local authority, but it must not imply a site visit, local professional review, or knowledge of a particular property unless that work actually occurred.
No fabricated commercial facts
We do not invent ratings, reviews, prices, availability, licensing status, service areas, project portfolios, or years in business.
Clear limits
National education cannot establish the enforceable rule, final price, engineering solution, safe operating setting, or suitable contractor for a particular property.
Useful AI assistance
AI may support drafting, structure, editing, and consistency. Published material must still be checked for usefulness, unsupported claims, source quality, duplication, and appropriate limits.
Meaningful updates
An updated date should reflect a substantive review or revision—not an automated date change. Pages can be corrected or removed when their evidence or usefulness no longer supports publication.
Review and corrections
Material is reviewed for a clear homeowner purpose, claim-to-source alignment, readable language, internal consistency, and a practical next step. If you identify a factual error, outdated source, duplicated local passage, or company detail that needs correction, retain the page URL and the best current primary evidence when reporting it.
Pool Builder data has a separate inclusion and verification model because company discovery and an editorial recommendation are not the same thing.
